{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-77.135","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 77.135","heading":"Budget -- Contingent fund -- Compliance with KRS 65A.010 to 65A.090.","body":"(1) It shall be the duty of the secretary -treasurer of an air pollution control board\nformed pursuant to KRS 77.070, during or before the month of May of each year, to\nprepare and certify to the consolidated local government or fiscal court of the\ncounty and t o the legislative body of the city, for their joint consideration, a\npreliminary budget showing the total funds which, in the judgment of the air\npollution control board, will be needed for the various departments of the district,\ntogether with a statement  showing the estimated balances, if any, which will be\navailable on July 1 for expenditure during the next fiscal year following the\ncertification of said statement, and also indicating, as nearly as may be possible,\nwhat additional funds or assets (other than appropriations) will be or will become\navailable for expenditure during that year. The board shall also furnish to the\nconsolidated local government or the fiscal court and the city legislative body any\nother information or data available to it which the consolidated local government,\nthe fiscal court, or the city legislative body may request.\n(2) Prior to the first day of each fiscal year, every air pollution control board shall\nprepare, for its own use and guidance, a financial budget setting forth t he total\namounts of funds available from all sources for expenditures during the said fiscal\nyear, and also setting forth in detail the estimated expenditures of the board and the\ndistrict during said fiscal year.\n(3) A contingent fund for unanticipated ex penditures may be established in order to\nprovide for such contingent and unanticipated needs as may arise during the\ndistrict's said fiscal year.\n(4) All air pollution control boards shall comply with the provisions of KRS 65A.010\nto 65A.090.","path":["KRS Chapter 77"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43659","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:37Z","sha256":"eacd50b49dfaf19297b04f6a9de2779b03871d7bf49b85ddafd37cc6ea768389","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-77.130","next":"us-ky/krs-77.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
