{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-78.606","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 78.606","heading":"Service credit earned upon retirement of noncertified employee --","body":"Recalculation of benefits.\n(1) Upon retirement, a noncertified employee shall have his service credit earned after\nJuly 1, 1998, recalculated in accordance with KRS 78.615 except that th e employee\nshall receive service credit determined by dividing the actual number of contracted\ndays worked by twenty (20) and rounding any remainder to the next whole month,\nprovided that the number of hours worked during the period averages eighty (80) or\nmore hours.\n(2) The Kentucky Retirement Systems shall adjust the service credit for all affected\nmembers who earned service credit for the school years 1996 -97 and 1997 -98 by\nrecomputing the members' service based on the rounding method provided in\nsubsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 78"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24743","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:39Z","sha256":"457cc0c07e955bdc3f90a1d201d2947a46eed424a61ec16ee1f515c094f7f031","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-78.605","next":"us-ky/krs-78.607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
