{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-79.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 79.150","heading":"Abolition of unnecessary city or county offices.","body":"(1) The governing body of any city electing to render or to receive governmental\nservices under a contract authorized by KRS 79.110 to 79.180 may, by ordinance,\nabolish any office rendered unnecessary thereby, or may, by ordinance, declare any\nsuch office vacant during the term of the contract. Any such office occupied by an\nofficial elected by the qualified voters of the city shall not be abolished or declared\nvacant before the end of the term of the incumbent.\n(2) The fiscal court or the appointing authority  of any county or other political\nsubdivision electing to render or to receive governmental services under a contract\nauthorized by KRS 79.110 to 79.180 may declare vacant for the term of the contract\nany office rendered unnecessary thereby.
