(Effective until","body":"January 1, 2027)\n(1) The Capital Planning Advisory Board of the Kentucky General Assembly shall\nconsist of sixteen (16) members. The manner of appointment and terms of th e\nmembers of the board shall be as follows:\n(a) Four (4) members shall be appointed by the Governor to represent the\nexecutive branch of state government. These members shall serve for a term\nof four (4) years and until their successors are appointed.\n(b) Four (4) members shall be appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme\nCourt to represent the judicial branch of state government. These members\nshall serve for a term of four (4) years and until their successors are\nappointed.\n(c) Four (4) members shall represent the legislative branch of state government\nand shall be appointed and serve as follows:\n1. The Speaker of the House of Representatives shall appoint two (2)\nmembers, each of whom shall serve while a member of the House for\nthe term for which he h as been elected, and one (1) of whom shall be\ndesignated co-chair; and\n2. The President of the Senate shall appoint two (2) members, each of\nwhom shall serve while a member of the Senate for the term for which\nhe has been elected, and one (1) of whom shall be designated co-chair.\n(d) Four (4) public members shall be appointed from the Commonwealth at large,\none (1) by the Governor, one (1) by the Chief Justice, one (1) by the President\nof the Senate, and one (1) by the Speaker of the House of Representative s.\nThe public members shall serve for a term of four (4) years and until their\nsuccessors are appointed.\n(2) Any vacancy on the board shall be filled in the same manner as the original\nappointment.\n(3) The co -chairs shall have joint responsibilities for board meeting agendas and\npresiding at board meetings.\n(4) On an alternating basis, each co -chair shall have the first option to set the monthly\nmeeting date. A monthly meeting may be canceled by agreemen t of both co -chairs.\nThe board shall meet at least twice during each calendar year.\n(5) Members of the board shall be entitled to reimbursement for expenses incurred in\nthe performance of their duties.\n(6) A majority of the entire membership of the Capital  Planning Advisory Board shall\nconstitute a quorum, and all actions of the board shall be by vote of a majority of its\nentire membership.\nEffective: March 31, 2003","path":["KRS Chapter 7A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=498","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:26Z","sha256":"5fed6f184500cee56f949dd4072df188a7715a3367dd5f66de9f94c78d669a01","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7a.100","next":"us-ky/krs-7a.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
