{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7a.255","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7A.255","heading":"Annual report of information on state -administered retirement systems'","body":"members and recipients of retirement allowances -- Protection of members'\nand recipients' identities -- Report to Public Pension Oversight Board --\nInvestment procurement polic y -- Annual report on disability payments --\nAnnual report on employer pay credits.\n(1) Notwithstanding KRS 21.345 to 21.580, 61.661, 61.870 to 61.884, or 161.585 to\nthe contrary, on or before November 15 following the close of each fiscal year, th e\nstate-administered retirement systems shall collectively file a report with the Public\nPension Oversight Board that shall include the following information for each\nmember or recipient of a retirement allowance from any of the state -administered\nretirement systems:\n(a) A unique identification number for each member or recipient that is created\nsolely for purposes of compiling the report provided by this section and which\nshall not be the member's Social Security number or personal identification\nnumber is sued by the systems. For individual members or recipients with\nmultiple accounts in the state-administered retirement systems, all of the state-\nadministered retirement systems shall use the same unique identification\nnumber;\n(b) The system or systems in which the member has an account or from which the\nretired member is receiving a monthly retirement allowance;\n(c) The status of the member or recipient, including but not limited to whether he\nor she is a contributing member, a member who is not currently co ntributing\nto the systems but has not retired, a retired member, a beneficiary, or a retired\nmember who has returned to work following retirement with an agency\nparticipating in the systems;\n(d) If the individual is a retired member or beneficiary, the ann ualized monthly\nretirement allowance that he or she was receiving at the end of the most\nrecently completed fiscal year; and\n(e) If the individual is a member who has not yet retired, the estimated annual\nretirement allowance that he or she is eligible to receive at his or her normal\nretirement date based upon his or her service credit, final compensation, and\naccumulated account balance at the end of the most recently completed fiscal\nyear.\nUnder no circumstances shall the member's name, address, or Socia l Security\nnumber be included in the information required to be reported to the board by this\nsection, nor shall the unique identification number established by subsection (1) of\nthis section be capable of being linked to a specific member's retirement acc ount\nwith a state-administered retirement system.\n(2) On or before November 15 following the close of each fiscal year, the state -\nadministered retirement systems shall report to the Public Pension Oversight Board\nthe percentage of system assets and manager s for which fees and commissions are\nbeing reported in accordance with KRS 21.540(4)(m), 61.645(19)(i), and\n161.250(4)(i). This subsection shall apply on a fiscal year basis beginning on or\nafter July 1, 2017.\n(3) On or before November 15, 2017, the state -administered retirement systems shall\ntender to the Public Pension Oversight Board a copy of their board -adopted\ninvestment procurement policy along with certification from the secretary of the\nFinance and Administration Cabinet that the investment procure ment policy meets\nor does not meet the best practices for investment management procurement. If the\nboard amends its investment procurement policy, it shall tender a copy of its\namended investment procurement policy to the Public Pension Oversight Board\nwithin sixty (60) days of adoption along with certification from the secretary of the\nFinance and Administration Cabinet that the policy meets or does not meet the best\npractices for investment management procurement.\n(4) On or before November 15 following t he close of each fiscal year, the Kentucky\nPublic Pensions Authority shall report to the Public Pension Oversight Board the\nnumber of individuals and total payments to members who become totally and\npermanently disabled as a direct result of an act in line  of duty as defined in KRS\n16.505 or become disabled as a result of a duty -related injury as defined in KRS\n61.621. The data shall be broken down by system and for recipients who are\ndrawing a benefit from the disablement of a hazardous member, a nonhazard ous\nmember who worked in a nonhazardous position that could be certified as a\nhazardous position based upon KRS 61.592, and a nonhazardous member who\nworked in a nonhazardous position that could not be certified as a hazardous\nposition based upon KRS 61.592.\n(5) On or before November 15, 2023, and on or before November 15 every fourth year\nthereafter, the Department of Kentucky State Police and the Kentucky Public\nPensions Authority shall jointly report to the Public Pension Oversight Board on the\ncosts and effect iveness of the program established by KRS 16.583(2)(b)2. and\n16.584.","path":["KRS Chapter 7A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53366","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:27Z","sha256":"8373165b5269905c31247d8dc84de67474884a47beae29b2ad7efa6f861f0120","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7a.250","next":"us-ky/krs-7a.260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
