{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7b.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7B.050","heading":"Term and powers of executive director -- Employees.","body":"(1) The executive director of the Kentucky Long -Term Policy Research Center shall\nserve at the pleasure of the center's board.\n(2) The executive director may employ staff, incur travel and other miscellaneous\nexpenses, and authorize staff travel as necessary t o carry out the duties of the\ncenter, within the limits of funds appropriated or otherwise made available to it.\n(3) Employees of the center shall be employees of the legislative department and shall\nbe exempted from classified service, but entitled to the  same benefits as other\nemployees of the Commonwealth.\n(4) With approval of the board, the executive director may enter into agreements with\nany state agency or political subdivision of the state, any institution of higher\neducation, or any other person or  entity to enlist staff assistance to implement the\nprovisions of this chapter.\n(5) The executive director shall supervise the allocation of the work and activities of all\nemployees of the center.","path":["KRS Chapter 7B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=509","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:27Z","sha256":"7080c587f28f7bc094f33a495c05d01c1ffc5606b7cba07c943e47345fc7a425","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7b.040","next":"us-ky/krs-7b.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
