{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-80.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 80.320","heading":"Creation of county and regional housing authorities.","body":"(1) If the governing body of a county by resolution declares (upon findings prescribed\nin this section and KRS 80.330 to 80.610) that there is a need for a housing\nauthority to be created for such county to exercise therein powers and other\nfunctions prescribed for a housing authority of a county, a county housing authority\nshall thereupon exist for such county.\n(2) If the governing body of each of two (2) or more contiguous counties by resolution\ndeclares (upon findings prescribed in this section and KRS 80.3 30 to 80.610) that\nthere is a need for one (1) housing authority to be created for all of such counties to\nexercise in such counties powers and other functions prescribed for a regional\nhousing authority, a regional housing authority shall thereupon exist for all of such\ncounties and exercise its powers and other functions in such counties. If there is a\ncounty housing authority created for a county, the governing body of that county\nshall not adopt such resolution unless first, all holders of any outstandi ng bonds,\nnotes, or other evidences of indebtedness of such county housing authority consent\nin writing to such action and the county housing authority adopts a resolution not to\nthereafter initiate any project within such county.","path":["KRS Chapter 80"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24847","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:40Z","sha256":"6cffa188da726a5840eab23311cb52f951970dcfc5f78d5c9cb16d8272d9c514","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-80.310","next":"us-ky/krs-80.322"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
