{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-80.380","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 80.380","heading":"Prerequisites to creation of authority for city, county or region.","body":"No governing body of a city or county shall adopt a resolution under KRS 80.320 to\n80.610 declaring that there is a need for a housing authority to be created, or to exercise\nits powers within such city or county, or that there is a need to include such city or county\nwithin the area of operation of a housing authority, unless such governing body shall have\nfound substantially that:\n(1) Unsanitary or unsafe inhabited dwelling accommodations exist in such city or\ncounty or that there is a shortage of safe o r sanitary dwelling accommodations in\nsuch city or county available to persons of low income at rentals they can afford;\nand\n(2) These conditions can be best remedied through the exercise of the housing\nauthority's powers within the territorial boundaries of such city or county.","path":["KRS Chapter 80"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24853","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:40Z","sha256":"9555647a8274ac6f48cd6a680ba32e4d56cc8cf8fe0145a981725d7535c33462","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-80.370","next":"us-ky/krs-80.390"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
