{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-80.550","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 80.550","heading":"Issuance of bonds.","body":"(1) An authority shall have power to issue bonds from time to time in its discretion, for\nany of its corporate purposes. An authority shall also have power to issue refunding\nbonds for the purpose of paying or retiring bonds previously issued by it.\n(2) An authority may issue such types of bonds as it may determine, including (without\nlimiting the generality of the foregoing) bonds on which the principal and interest\nare payable:\n(a) Exclusively from the income and revenues of the housing project financed\nwith the proceeds of such bonds;\n(b) Exclusively from the income and revenues of certain designated housing\ndevelopments whether or not they are financed in whole or in part with the\nproceeds of such bonds; or\n(c) From its revenues generally.\n(3) Any such bonds may be additionally secured by a pledge of any grant or\ncontributions from the federal government or other source, or a pledge of any\nincome or revenues of the authority, or a mortgage of any housing project, projects\nor other property of the authority.\n(4) In connection with the issuance of bonds or the incurring of obligations under leases\nand in order to secure the payment of such bonds or obligations, a housing authority\n(including any housing authority created pursuant to KRS 80.010 to 80.250), in\naddition to its other powers, shall have power to agree to sell a project or projects,\nand to make and enter into such covenants and conditions and to do any and all such\nacts and things as may be necessary or desirable in order to secure its bonds, or,  in\nthe discretion of said authority, as will tend to make the bonds more marketable.\n(5) In connection with the issuance of bonds or the incurring of other obligations, a\nregional housing authority may covenant as to limitations on its right to adopt\nresolutions relating to the increase or decrease of its area of operation.","path":["KRS Chapter 80"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24870","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:40Z","sha256":"1263e89fe73c87ed9651b029faa1596d81b19e692ca654716e2dc6892d89786c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-80.540","next":"us-ky/krs-80.560"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
