{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-81a.532","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 81A.532","heading":"Definitions for KRS 81A.532 to 81A.536.","body":"As used in KRS 81A.532 to 81A.536, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Commercial purposes\" means the use of land, buildings, or structures, or parts\nthereof, for the buying, selling, storage, or shipment of goods or services, or other\nsubstantially similar types of activity;\n(2) \"District\" means a designated county industrial district;\n(3) \"Industrial purposes\" means the use of land, buildings, or structures, or parts\nthereof, for manufacturing, production or assembly of goods, warehousing and\ndistribution, or other substantially similar types of activity; and\n(4) \"Substantial investment\" means expenditures by the county in an amount equal to\nor greater than twenty percent (20%) of the total assessed value of real property at\nthe time of the designa tion of a designated county industrial district in utility,\ntransportation, or other similar infrastructure within the district, not including\nnormal or routine county road maintenance.","path":["KRS Chapter 81A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55346","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:42Z","sha256":"35920145645f96bc37d749adb37ddf9cd2843a3c6a16f341c05249e5ee00ffa8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-81a.530","next":"us-ky/krs-81a.534"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
