{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-82.026","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 82.026","heading":"City historic preservation commissions.","body":"The legislative body of any city may enact ordinances establishing local historic\npreservation commissions for the purpose of qualifying for historic preservation funding.\nThe city shall comply with the 1966 National Historic Preservation Act, as amended, in\norder to meet the requirements for an adequate and qualified historic preservation\ncommission, and the legislative body shall provide:\n(1) A system for surveying and inventorying historic properties;\n(2) Procedures for adequate public participation in t he local historic preservation\nprogram, including the process of recommending properties to the national register;\n(3) The enforcement of appropriate state and local legislation for the designation and\nprotection of historic properties; and\n(4) Such other responsibilities as may be required by the 1966 National Historic\nPreservation Act, as amended.","path":["KRS Chapter 82"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25027","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:42Z","sha256":"d56528f153bb8f7d05cfb1992ec43d94a985f0d878ae6e55099c1f90ec11cce9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-82.025","next":"us-ky/krs-82.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
