{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-82.165","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 82.165","heading":"Proceeds of revenue bonds constitute trust fund -- Bondholder's remedies.","body":"(1) All moneys received pursuant to the provisions of KRS 82.140 to 82.165, whether\nas proceeds from the sale of bonds or as revenues, shall be deemed to be trust funds\nto be held and applied solely as provided in KRS 82.140 to 82.165. The proceedings\nor the trust indenture shall provide that any officer with whom, or any bank or trust\ncompany with which, such moneys shall be deposited shall act as trustee of such\nmoneys and shall hold and apply the same for the purposes of KRS 82.140 to\n82.165, subject to such regulations as KRS 82.105 to 82.180 and such proceedings\nor trust indenture may provide.\n(2) Any holder of bonds issued under the provisions of KRS 82.140 to 82.165 or any of\nthe coupons appertaining thereto, and the trustee under any trust indenture,  except\nto the extent the rights in KRS 82.140 to 82.165 given may be restricted by such\ntrust indenture, may, either at law or in equity, by suit, action, mandamus or other\nproceedings, protect and enforce any and all rights under the laws of the\nCommonwealth or granted under KRS 82.140 to 82.165 or under such trust\nindenture or the proceedings authorizing the issuance of such bonds, and may\nenforce and compel the performance of all duties required by KRS 82.140 to 82.165\nor by such trust indenture or proc eedings to be performed by the city or by any\nofficer or employees thereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 82"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25055","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:43Z","sha256":"4ae1557724ae2077e370b2de3b2c326e2764ed0c3b53e38e0c09b1a193a9f3f0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-82.160","next":"us-ky/krs-82.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
