{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-83a.047","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 83A.047","heading":"KRS 83A.045 provisions apply when city boundaries extend beyond single","body":"county -- Exception -- Certification of vote totals.\nIn a city whose boundaries extend beyond those of a single county, candidates for\nnomination or election to city office shall b e governed by the provisions contained in\nKRS 83A.045, except that all nomination papers shall be filed with the county clerk of\nthe county in which the candidate resides no later than 4 p.m. local time on the day\nprovided for in KRS 83A.045. On the day fo llowing the candidate filing deadline, each\ncounty clerk shall certify the names of all candidates for city office that filed nomination\npapers with him or her to the clerk of the other county into which the boundaries of the\ncity extend.
