{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-91.750","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 91.750","heading":"Definitions for KRS 91.750 to 91.762.","body":"As used in KRS 91.750 to 91.762, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Economic improvement\" means any activity or service for the improvement and\npromotion of a management district that is of special benefit to property within the\ndistrict, but shal l not include any service ordinarily provided throughout the city,\nconsolidated local government, or urban -county from general fund revenues unless\nan increased level of the service is provided in the management district;\n(2) \"City\" means a city of the first class;\n(3) \"Legislative body\" means the legislative body of a city of the first class, a\nconsolidated local government, or of an urban-county government;\n(4) \"Management district\" means an area designated by a legislative body pursuant to\nKRS 91.750 to 91.762, that is to be benefited by economic improvements and\nsubjected to the payment of special assessments for the costs of the economic\nimprovements. Areas that may be designated as a management district include, but\nare not limited to, neighborhoods and business districts;\n(5) \"Property\" means any real property benefited by economic improvements;\n(6) \"Special assessment\" means a special charge fixed on property to finance economic\nimprovements in whole or in part;\n(7) \"Fair basis\" means assessed value b asis, front foot basis, square foot basis, or\nbenefits received basis;\n(8) \"Urban-county\" means a local government formed as provided by KRS Chapter\n67A; and\n(9) \"Consolidated local government\" means a local government formed as provided by\nKRS Chapter 67C.","path":["KRS Chapter 91"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25546","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:49Z","sha256":"da66efb91be66db6f74c88ba94ec10eaf0ddd2e3d0275146de5559ed1d6968fb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-91.680","next":"us-ky/krs-91.752"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
