{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-91.754","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 91.754","heading":"Petition proceedings to request establishment of district.","body":"(1) A city, consolidated local government, or urban -county government may initiate\nproceedings to establish a management district upon receipt by the executive\nauthority of a written petition requesting the formation of a management district. A\npetition requesting the formation of a management district shall contain:\n(a) The signatures and addresses of at least thirty -three percent (33%) of the\nowners of real property within the proposed management district and a\nnumber of real property owners, who together are  the owners of real property\nequal to at least fifty -one percent (51%) of the assessed value of property\nwithin the proposed management district;\n(b) An accurate description of the boundaries of the proposed management\ndistrict;\n(c) An economic improvement plan that shall provide:\n1. A description of the economic improvements to be provided within the\ndistrict;\n2. A preliminary estimate of the annual costs of the proposed economic\nimprovements;\n3. The proposed method of assessing the costs of the economic\nimprovements against the properties; and\n(d) The proposed makeup of the board of directors of the management district, its\npowers and duties.\n(2) When a petition satisfying the requirements of subsection (1) of this section is\nreceived by the executive authority, he or she shall forward it to the legislative body\nwhich may proceed to enact an ordinance establishing a management district as\nprovided in KRS 91.756.","path":["KRS Chapter 91"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25548","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:49Z","sha256":"bce445ae10f4cdfd7abac78ea026b1b71d75608bbd49d0409ee9811b28682a48","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-91.752","next":"us-ky/krs-91.756"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
