{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-91a.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 91A.560","heading":"Petition requesting formation of management district.","body":"(1) A city may initiate proceedings to establish a management district upon receipt by\nthe mayor of a written petition requesting the formation of a management district. A\npetition requesting the formation of a management district shall contain:\n(a) The signat ures and addresses of a number of real property owners, who\ntogether are the owners of fifty -one percent (51%) or more of the properties\nwithin the proposed district and who are the owners of real property equal to\nat least fifty -one percent (51%) of the a ssessed value of property within the\nproposed management district;\n(b) An accurate description of the boundaries of the proposed management\ndistrict;\n(c) An economic improvement plan that shall provide:\n1. A description of the economic improvements to be p rovided within the\ndistrict;\n2. A preliminary estimate of the annual costs of the proposed economic\nimprovements; and\n3. The proposed method of assessing the costs of the economic\nimprovements against the properties;\n(d) The proposed makeup of the board of  the management district, its powers and\nduties; and\n(e) The number of years in which the assessments are proposed to be levied, not\nto exceed five (5) years.\n(2) When a petition satisfying the requirements of subsection (1) of this section is\nreceived by the mayor, he shall forward it to the legislative body which may proceed\nto enact an ordinance establishing a management district as provided in KRS\n91A.565.","path":["KRS Chapter 91A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25602","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:49Z","sha256":"8ac39f23f94265d34d447073b3bfc82dcfeba3b4ad2097b70c127062f94beb53","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-91a.555","next":"us-ky/krs-91a.565"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
