{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-94.810","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 94.810","heading":"Creation -- Powers -- Fees -- Joint city -county motor vehicle parking","body":"authorities.\n(1) Any city by ordinance may create motor vehicle parking authorities, or at any time,\nthe legislative body of a city by ordinance and the fiscal court of the county\ncontaining the city may enter into an agreement to form a joint city -county motor\nvehicle parking authority. Such parking authorities shall have the power of\nacquisition, creation and operation of public street and off -street parking facilities.\nThe fees charged need not be limited to the cost of operation and administration but\nmay be for revenue.\n(2) If a city, already having a motor vehicle parking authority in existence, enters into\nan agreement to form a joint parking authority with the county, the agre ement shall\nprovide for the assumption of the debts and liabilities of the existing parking\nauthority by the joint parking authority and the transfer of any assets of the existing\nparking authority, including real property and improvements, to the joint pa rking\nauthority.\n(3) The termination of an agreement between a city and county to form a joint parking\nauthority will not result in the continued existence of a city motor vehicle parking\nauthority, unless specifically provided for in the agreement.","path":["KRS Chapter 94"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=25930","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:54Z","sha256":"d9cb048a57ceed97870f4fdb33bc8566daa6d04cf541c5b5f7671b4c49d9601e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-94.760","next":"us-ky/krs-94.815"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
