{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-95.890","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 95.890","heading":"Definitions for KRS 95.895 to 95.945.","body":"For the purposes of KRS 95.895 to 95.945, the following terms shall have the following\nmeanings:\n(1) \"Beneficiary\" shall mean a member, either active or retired, of a local government\npension system which participates in the local government pension investment fund;\n(2) \"Board\" shall mean the governing body of the local government pension investment\nfund, as provided for in KRS 95.905;\n(3) \"Fund\" shall mean the local government pension investment fund, as created by\nKRS 95.895 to 95.945;\n(4) \"Qualified investment manager\" shall mean a bank or trust company as defined and\nregulated in Subtitle 3 of KRS Chapter 286, or an investment adviser as defined in\nKRS 292.310 and registered under KRS 292.330, or an investment adviser\nregistered under the federal investm ent advisers act of 1940, or an insurance\ncompany certified pursuant to KRS 304.3-160;\n(5) \"Participant\" shall mean a locally administered public pension system, created\npursuant to KRS 79.080, 90.400, 90.410, 95.290, 95.520 to 95.620, 95.621 to\n95.629, 95 .767 to 95.784, 95.851 to 95.884, 95.991 or 96.180, which chooses to\ninvest in and thereby become a member of the local government pension investment\nfund.","path":["KRS Chapter 95"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45004","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:56Z","sha256":"e327077252f9922ad4b7402105ce5e2697fbca279e0efd12de1c53264d14438b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-95.885","next":"us-ky/krs-95.895"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
