{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-95a.430","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 95A.430","heading":"Duties of commission.","body":"The commission shall:\n(1) Create the necessary application forms, any necessary supporting documents,\ncompliance documents, or reporting documents for the Thermal Vision and\nTechnical Innovation Grant Program as may be necessary by promulgating\nadministrative regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A;\n(2) Make a determination of the characteristics of the most cost -effective technical\ndevices for use by fire departments participating in the Thermal Vision and\nTechnical Innovation Grant Program;\n(3) Make a determination of the m anufacturer or manufacturers of technical devices to\nbe purchased by the Thermal Vision and Technical Innovation Grant Program;\n(4) Make a determination of the most cost -effective purchase mechanism and price,\nunder KRS Chapter 45A, for technical devices;\n(5) Accept and process applications for the purchase of technical devices through the\nThermal Vision and Technical Innovation Grant Program;\n(6) Award eligible fire departments grants equal to fifty percent (50%), but not to\nexceed the sum of five thousand  dollars ($5,000), of the agreed price for the\npurchase of technical devices;\n(7) Require recipients of technical devices purchased through the Thermal Vision and\nTechnical Innovation Grant Program to file any reports deemed necessary by the\ncommission concerning usage, maintenance, or property accounting or loss with the\ncommission; and\n(8) Maintain these reports for evaluation by the commission.","path":["KRS Chapter 95A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57623","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:57Z","sha256":"5e9fd0a95679c532b89ac07c9e8618c6a2ddd8ca4cac7044f4652af396601d1b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-95a.420","next":"us-ky/krs-95a.440"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
