{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-96.730","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 96.730","heading":"Payment of preliminary expenses.","body":"(1) All expenses incurred by the board or the governing body of any municipality in the\nmaking of surveys, estimates of cost and of revenues, employment of engineers,\nattorneys, or other employees, the giving of notices, taking of options, selling of\nbonds, and all other preliminary expenses of whatever nature which such board or\ngoverning body deems necessary in connection with or precedent to the acquisition\nor improvement of any electric plant and which it deems necessary to be paid prior\nto the issuance and  delivery of the bonds issued pursuant to the provisions of KRS\n96.550 to 96.900, may be met and paid out of the general fund of said municipality\nnot otherwise appropriated, or from any other available fund.\n(2) All such payments from the general or other  funds of the municipality shall be\nconsidered as temporary loans and shall be repaid immediately upon sale and\ndelivery of the bonds, and claim for such repayment shall have priority over all\nother claims against the proceeds derived from the sale of such bonds.","path":["KRS Chapter 96"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26279","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:58Z","sha256":"7e3f0d9cb92f5829d76b5a6ea3a1639594a2d6ff1905f83d75b3df373bcf0ea2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-96.720","next":"us-ky/krs-96.740"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
