{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-96.918","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 96.918","heading":"Procedure for establishment of classification -- First ordinance.","body":"The governing body of any city desiring to establish special classes of sewer users shall\ninitiate proceedings by adopting an ordinance to be known as the \"First Ordinance,\"\nwhich shall state:\n(1) The special classes of sewer users proposed to be created, the reasons and\njustifications for each classification, and the general geographical boundaries of\neach class, if susceptible of geographic identification;\n(2) Whether a basic sewer service charge is proposed;\n(3) The charges proposed initially for each sp ecial class; or, if such charges are\ndependent upon factors later to be determined, the formula, method, or basis upon\nwhich such charges will be established;\n(4) Whether differences in charges, or schedules thereof shall be of indefinite duration,\nor of limited duration;\n(5) Whether immediate construction and installation of sewer facilities, including\nreconstructing, replacing, repairing, extending, improving, enlarging, adding to, or\ncompleting any existing facilities, is proposed, and if so, a brief sum mary of\npreliminary findings and recommendations of an engineer, licensed by the\nCommonwealth, showing the occasion for such necessity and the general nature,\nscope, and estimated cost thereof; and\n(6) The aggregate of revenues to be produced, and the amou nt of annual revenue\nestimated to be produced from users of each proposed special class.","path":["KRS Chapter 96"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26305","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:59Z","sha256":"81967bfcf35d9b9b64c92842578d774c9a412a737c3144caff4e76b39c965dee","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-96.916","next":"us-ky/krs-96.919"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
