{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-96.931","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 96.931","heading":"Definitions for KRS 96.930 to 96.943.","body":"As used in KRS 96.930 to 96.943, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"City\" means an incorporated municipality of any class;\n(2) \"Governing body\" means the body vested by law with the legislative power of\na city;\n(3) \"Sewer body\" means the body vest ed with responsibility for the control,\noperation, and maintenance of a city's sewer facilities, which may be the\ngoverning body or a board, commission, or agency, created by statute or by\ncity ordinance, or a private person, performing such functions unde r lawful\ncontract with the city;\n(4) \"Water supplier\" means any person supplying water intended to be used, or\nactually used, in any manner resulting in contamination and includes the city\nitself, other cities and public bodies, and private operators of wa ter-supplying\nfacilities;\n(5) \"Public health standards\" means such standards as are lawfully prescribed\nfrom time to time by the secretary for health and family services, the United\nStates Public Health Service, or any lawfully constituted county, city, or  other\npublic board, department, or agency, vested with responsibility in this area.","path":["KRS Chapter 96"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26314","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:59Z","sha256":"9be0e3772a8050252fb70bce30b4230800be28b0be8c35dc616a546d599d499a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-96.930","next":"us-ky/krs-96.932"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
