{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-96a.060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 96A.060","heading":"Board meetings -- Quorum.","body":"(1) Regular meetings of the board shall be held at least once in each calendar month, at\nsuch time and place as may be fixed by the board as a matter of record. Special\nmeetings of the board may be called by the chairman or any two (2) members of the\nboard upon oral or written notice to all members at least forty -eight (48) hours in\nadvance. Each notice of a special meeting shall state the time, place and purpose or\npurposes thereof. Notice may be waived by any member, orally or in writing,\nbefore, at or after such special meeting; and the presence of any member at any such\nspecial meeting shall constitute a waiver of any defect of notice, unless such\nmember shall cause it to appear of record that his attendance is only for the purpose\nof objecting to any defici ency in the notice or the time or manner of giving the\nsame.\n(2) A majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction\nof business, but a smaller number may adjourn from time to time, and may compel\nthe attendance of absent m embers in such manner and under such penalties as the\nauthority may previously have provided for, according to its bylaws. The\naffirmative vote of a majority of a quorum shall be necessary for the adoption of any\nmotion, measure or resolution. Passage of a ny motion, measure or resolution may\nbe by voice vote, provided:\n(a) At the request of any member the yea and nay votes shall be recorded upon\ncall of the roll, and\n(b) Such record shall be made in all proceedings involving any adjustment of\nrates and char ges for use of the services and facilities of the mass\ntransportation system of the authority, authorization of proceedings to acquire\nproperty through exercise of the power of eminent domain, the issuance of\nrevenue bonds or mortgage bonds of the authorit y, a request that general\nobligation bonds be issued by any public body for the benefit of the authority,\nor approval and authorization of any lease agreement wherein the authority is\nthe lessor and a public body or public bodies (or any combination thereo f)\nmay be the lessee or lessees, as provided in this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 96A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26327","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:59Z","sha256":"afdec9fa282dfbfcd94045f1d1b885fd7fc3af73d6e567e496da69d5fd716a2e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-96a.050","next":"us-ky/krs-96a.070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
