{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-96a.200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 96A.200","heading":"Duties to employees transferred from acquired system.","body":"If an authority acquires an existing transit system, the authority shall assume and observe\nall existing labor contracts and pension obligations. All employees of such system who\nare necessary for the operation thereof by the authority shall be transferred  to and\nappointed as employees of the authority. Such employees shall be given seniority credit\nand sick leave, vacation, insurance, and pension credits in accordance with the records or\nlabor agreements from the acquired transit system. The authority shal l assume the\nobligations of any transit system acquired by it with regard to wages, salaries, hours,\nworking conditions, sick leave, health and welfare and pension or retirement provisions\nfor employees. The authority and the employees, through their repre sentatives for\ncollective bargaining purposes, shall take whatever action may be necessary to have\npension trust funds presently under the joint control of the acquired transportation system\nand the participating employees through their representatives tra nsferred to the trust fund\nto be established, maintained and administered jointly by the authority and the\nparticipating employees through their representatives.
