{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-97.253","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 97.253","heading":"Employees are subject to civil service.","body":"(1) The employees of any former board of park commissioners in any city of the first\nclass, except the special park police, shall be employed by and continued in the\nservice of the department of public parks and recreation. The employees, except as\nherein prov ided, are subject to any law or amendments thereof, or any rules and\nregulations issued pursuant thereto, governing any city board or commission\nempowered to administer and enforce civil service laws, rules and regulations in\nand for the city, it being the  intent and purpose of KRS 97.250 to 97.257 to make\nsuch laws, rules and regulations applicable to the offices, positions and places of\nemployment in the department of public parks and recreation.\n(2) The following offices, positions, and places of employm ent in the department of\npublic parks and recreation, to wit: director of parks and recreation, private\nsecretary to the director, golf professionals, golf greensmen, checkers, countermen,\nlocker attendants, caretakers, janitors, janitresses, laundresses, cleaners, tractor and\ntruck drivers, teamsters and stablemen, and laborers, are hereby specifically\nexcepted from the provisions of the civil service law, rules and regulations.
