{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-97.650","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 97.650","heading":"Powers of commission.","body":"The commission shall be a corporation and may:\n(1) Arrange for and supervise the maintenance of the grounds and structures of the\nmemorial.\n(2) Exact from any of its officers or employees such surety or indemnity bonds for the\nappropriate performance of their respective duties as the commission deems proper.\n(3) Establish and enforce reasonable rules and regulations for its own government, and\nfor the supervision, protection, management and conduct of its work and the\nmaintenance of the memorial structures, and for the cost thereof, which rules and\nregulations, to the extent they are not in conflict with law, shall have the force of\nlaw.\n(4) Make and enter into, in its corporate name, any and all contracts, agreements or\nstipulations, germane to the scope of its duties, or in accordance with the purposes\nof KRS 97.630 to 97.780.\n(5) Sue and be sued in its corporate name, adopt a corporate seal and alter it at pleasure.\n(6) Do all other acts reasonable or necessary to effectively carry out the work intended\nor required by KRS 97.630 to 97.780.","path":["KRS Chapter 97"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26439","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:00Z","sha256":"21581235a4457a2a471200869c057ba94f0ca0a65f2e47c68d11e929be45f17c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-97.640","next":"us-ky/krs-97.660"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
