{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-98.170","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 98.170","heading":"Dissolution of commission.","body":"(1) If the work upon which a commission is engaged is completed and no further work\nis contemplated within a definite time, the director of works shall notify the mayor\nand legislative body of the city, and the mayor and legislative body shall forthwith\ndecide whether the commission shall be dissolved or shall be continued.\n(2) If any commission is dissolved, all debts of the commission shall be first paid, and\nif any money remains in its hands from the proceeds of bond sales, such money\nshall be paid to the c ommissioners of the sinking fund of the city, to be used as a\nsinking fund for the bonds from the sale of which the money was derived.\n(3) Upon the dissolution of a commission, the mayor shall take charge of and preserve\nall the office furniture, fixtures , machinery, tools, instruments, books and papers,\nand upon the appointment of another commission the same shall be turned over to\nthe new commission, unless the legislative body of the city provides, by ordinance,\nfor the sale or other disposition of the office furniture, fixtures, tools, instruments\nand machinery.","path":["KRS Chapter 98"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26478","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:01Z","sha256":"3011d0bfd964c94f00bee114690902080ffe57c149b900dd1443dda4caeb554e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-98.160","next":"us-ky/krs-98.180"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
