{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-99.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 99.100","heading":"Organization of redevelopment corporation -- Articles.","body":"(1) At any time within twenty (20) years of June 1, 1942, three (3) or more persons may\nform a redevelopment corporation on making, subscribing, acknowledging and\nfiling articles of incorporation and obtaining a certificate or charter pursuant to the\ngeneral corporation law, which charter shall be entitled and indorsed \"Certificate or\nCharter of Incorporation of .... Redevelopment Corporation,\" the blank space being\nfilled in with the remainder of the name of the corporation. Such articles of\nincorporation shal l contain the provisions required in, and may contain any\nprovisions consistent with the provisions of KRS 99.010 to 99.310 permitted in,\narticles of incorporation filed pursuant to the general corporation law, except that:\n(a) Included among the purposes for which the corporation is formed shall be the\nformulation, obtaining the approval of, and putting into effect of a\ndevelopment plan, the acquisition of real property in a development area, and\nthe construction, maintenance and operation of a development  pursuant to\nKRS 99.010 to 99.310;\n(b) The duration of the corporation shall not be less than twenty (20) years; and\n(c) The certificate or charter shall contain a declaration that the redevelopment\ncorporation has been organized to serve a public purpose,  and that it shall be\nsubject to supervision and control as provided in KRS 99.010 to 99.310.\n(2) A copy of such articles of incorporation shall be filed with the planning commission\nand the supervising agency having jurisdiction within thirty (30) days of  its being\nfiled in the office of the Secretary of State.","path":["KRS Chapter 99"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26510","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:01Z","sha256":"b9a69df1a5101e576db12a88eee3110d6cf523ec350d682d2bceba5d8687edb3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-99.090","next":"us-ky/krs-99.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
