{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-99.410","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 99.410","heading":"Cooperation by public bodies.","body":"(1) A public body shall have power to aid an agency within its area of operation and\nsuch aid may be authorized by a resolution or ordinance of the legislative body of\nsuch public body adopted by a majority of its members present at a meeting of such\nlegislative body. A public body may aid an agency in the following manner and\nupon such terms, with or without consideration, as it may determine:\n(a) Dedicate, sell, convey or lease any of its interest in any property, or grant\neasements, licenses or any other rights or privileges therein to an agency;\n(b) Cause parks, playgrounds, recreational, community, educational, water, sewer\nor drainage facilities, or any other works which it is otherwise empowered to\nundertake, to be furnished in connection with a redevelopment project;\n(c) Furnish, dedicate, close, pave, install, grade, regrade, plan or replan public\nstreets or ways or other public places which it is otherwise empowered to\nundertake;\n(d) Plan or replan, zone or rezone any part of the public body; make e xceptions\nfrom building regulations and ordinances; and any city may also change its\nboundaries;\n(e) Cause services to be furnished to the agency of the character which the public\nbody is otherwise empowered to furnish;\n(f) Enter into agreements with res pect to the exercise by such public body of its\npowers relating to the repair, closing or demolition of unsafe, unsanitary or\nunfit dwellings;\n(g) Incur the entire expense of any public improvements made by such public\nbody in exercising the powers granted in this section; and\n(h) Do any and all things necessary or convenient to aid and cooperate in the\nredevelopment of a development area.\n(2) Any sale, conveyance, lease or agreement provided for in this section may be made\nby a public body without appraisal, public notice, advertisement or public bidding.","path":["KRS Chapter 99"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26541","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:01Z","sha256":"3bf5d9abc101930f5aa10bc0641a2f92d9ba635266463776323fe7fccaf7db7b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-99.400","next":"us-ky/krs-99.420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
