{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-99.640","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 99.640","heading":"Disclosure of interest in property in project area.","body":"No officer, employee or consultant of an agency, who in the course of his duties is\nrequired to participate in the formulation of plans or policies for the development of a\nproject area, or in the implementation of such plans or policies, shall acquire any  interest\nin any property to be included within a project area. If any such officer, employee or\nconsultant owns or has or seeks to establish a financial interest, directly or indirectly, in\nany property to be included within such a project area, he shall immediately disclose, in\nwriting, such interest to the board of commissioners of the agency, and such disclosure\nshall be entered in the minutes of the board of commissioners. Failure to so disclose such\ninterest shall constitute misconduct in office. No p ayment shall be made to any\ncommissioner or officer of an agency for any property or interest therein acquired by the\nagency from such commissioner or officer unless such payment is unanimously approved\nby the price advisory board and board of commissioners at public meetings of said boards\nsubsequent to the meeting at which the interest in property has been disclosed in writing.","path":["KRS Chapter 99"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26571","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:02Z","sha256":"3662eeea5bb0c1cab4e862e9fd12fa0eb4cb456c24e096338fcf6a3bae675674","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-99.635","next":"us-ky/krs-99.645"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
