{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-99a.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 99A.040","heading":"Inspection of buildings -- Correction of code violations.","body":"(1) Any person acquiring title to a residential building located within a neighborhood\nredevelopment zone, after the effective date of establishment of the zone, shall\npermit such building to be inspected by the local agency responsible for carrying out\nthe du ties under this chapter and shall correct within a reasonable time any\nviolations of the applicable codes which are cited by the inspectors.   Any\nresidential building containing more than one (1) housing unit or which is not the\nresidence of the owner of the building, that has not been inspected and brought into\ncompliance with applicable codes within five (5) years of the date of establishment\nof the zone, shall be inspected by the local government and the owner thereof\nrequired to correct any code violations which exist.\n(2) The purchaser shall have an affirmative duty to notify the agency given the\nresponsibility for enforcement of the code and request an inspection.
