Any member in service may retire on a service retirement allowance upon written application to the board of supervisors setting forth at what time, not less than ninety days subsequent to the execution and filing thereof, he desires to be retired, provided that the member at the time specified for his retirement has attained age sixty-five and has completed at least five years of credited service.\nB.
