A domestic reciprocal insurer, if it has otherwise complied with the provisions of this Code, may be authorized to exchange contracts of insurance in this state upon qualifying therefor and by having initial minimum assets as follows:\nInitial\nMinimum\nInsurance\tSurplus\n(1) Health and accident\t$ 300,000\n(2) Vehicle\t1,000,000\n(3) Liability\t1,000,000\n(4) Workers' compensation\n(a) Any company organized and authorized to\ntransact workers' compensation only on or\nbefore July 27, 1966\t150,000\n(b) Any company organized and authorized to\ntransact workers' compensation only after\nJuly 27, 1966\t1,000,000\n(5) Burglary and forgery\t1,000,000\n(6) Fidelity\t1,000,000\n(7) Title\t75,000\n(8) Fire and allied lines\t1,000,000\n(9) Steam boiler and sprinkler damage\t1,000,000\n(10) Crop\n(a) Any company organized and authorized to\ntransact crop insurance only on or before\nJuly 27, 1966\t250,000\n(b) Any company organized and authorized to\ntransact crop insurance only after\nJuly 27, 1966\t1,000,000\n(11) Marine and transportation\t1,000,000\n(12) Miscellaneous\t1,000,000\n(13) Homeowners' insurance\t1,000,000\n(14) Credit health and accident insurance\t300,000\n(15) Credit property and casualty insurance\t1,000,000\n(16) Surety\t1,000,000\n(17) Industrial fire\t300,000\n(18) All insurances, except life and title\t1,000,000\nB. Domestic reciprocal insurers authorized to transact homeowners' insurance or fire and allied lines after August 1, 1967, shall have initial minimum surplus in the amount of five million dollars on or after December 31, 2026, and ten million dollars on or after December 31, 2031.\nC. Domestic reciprocal insurers who apply for a certificate of authority on or after September 1, 2022, that includes the lines of homeowners' insurance or fire and allied lines shall have initial minimum surplus in the amount of ten million dollars.","path":["SUBPART C-1.
