{"data":{"id":"us-la/rs-23-1692","jurisdiction":"us-la","citation":"RS 23:1692","heading":"Fees and costs against claimants; limitations; penalty","body":"No individual claiming benefits shall be charged fees or costs of any kind in any proceeding under this Chapter by the board of review, the administrator, or by their representatives, or by any court, but a court may assess costs against the claimant if it determines that the proceedings for judicial review have been instituted or continued frivolously.\nAny individual claiming benefits in any proceeding before the administrator or the board of review or their representatives or a court may be represented by counsel or other duly authorized agent; but no such counsel or agents shall either charge or receive for their services more than an amount approved by the administrator.\nAny person who violates the provisions of this Section shall, for each offense, be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned for not less than one month nor more than six months, or both.","path":["TITLE 23.
