{"data":{"id":"us-la/rs-40-1193.2","jurisdiction":"us-la","citation":"RS 40:1193.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this Part, the following terms have the meaning ascribed in this Section:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Louisiana Department of Health.\n(2) \"Legal representative\" means a legal guardian or a legally appointed substitute decision-maker who is authorized to act on behalf of a nursing home resident.\n(3)(a) \"Monitoring device\" means a surveillance instrument that transmits and records activity and is not connected to the facility's computer network.\n(b) The term \"monitoring device\" shall not include a camera that records still images exclusively.\n(4) \"Nursing home\" means a nursing facility or nursing home as defined in R.S. 40:2009.2.\n(5) \"Ombudsman\" means the administrator of the office of the state long-term care ombudsman established within the office of elderly affairs by the provisions of R.S. 40:2010.2.\n(6) \"Resident\" means a person who is a resident of a nursing home.","path":["TITLE 40.
