Such appointments shall be made upon the recommendations of the physicians who are authorized to practice within the hospital.\nIt shall be the duty of the medical staff:\n(1) To provide professional care of the sick and injured in the hospitals;\n(2) To give advice and assistance to the commission and director relating to standards of operation and professional problems;\n(3) To participate in the educational activities of the district;\n(4) To promulgate rules and regulations for the conduct of the medical staff for approval of the commission;\n(5) To elect annually one of its members as chief of staff and to elect from its members the heads of any specialized services of the hospital; and\n(6) To approve the appointment of the hospital director made by the commission.","path":["TITLE 46.
