When the state builds a highway across a canal, the bridge shall be paid for out of the Transportation Trust Fund, except in cases where the owner or owners of the canal are obligated to the erection and maintenance of a bridge over it.\nB. When the canal is built across the highway, the bridge shall be paid for and maintained by the person or political subdivision for whose account the canal is built.","path":["TITLE 48.
