A savings bank may hold and convey real estate which it has acquired in satisfaction of debts previously contracted bona fide in the course of its business.\nB. A savings bank may, in accordance with regulations adopted by the commissioner, make a loan or other extension of credit which would otherwise exceed the limits prescribed in R.S. 6:1235 when the purpose of the loan is to finance the sale of real estate acquired for a debt previously contracted or for use as bank premises. Such loans may only be made upon prior written approval of the commissioner.","path":["TITLE 6.
