{"data":{"id":"us-la/rs-9-2717.1.4","jurisdiction":"us-la","citation":"RS 9:2717.1.4","heading":"Exceptions","body":"The provisions of this Part do not apply to a person who might otherwise qualify as a prohibited foreign actor owning military-installation-adjacent lands under any of the following circumstances:\n(1) The person is a natural person who is a United States citizen, regardless of whether the United States citizenship was acquired by birth or the United States citizenship was granted to a person after meeting the requirements established by the United States Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq.\n(2) The person is a natural person who is not a United States citizen but is a permanent legal resident or is lawfully present in the United States by virtue of authorization by the United States Department of Homeland Security.\n(3) The person is a juridical person, as defined in Civil Code Article 24, that is wholly owned by persons who qualify under Paragraph (1) or (2) of this Section.\n(4) The military-installation-adjacent land is immovable property purchased, leased, or otherwise acquired by a natural person that is used as a one-to-four family residential property.","path":["TITLE 9.
