The board may deny or refuse to renew a license or, after a hearing pursuant to chapter 30A, revoke, suspend or cancel the license or place on probation, reprimand, censure or otherwise discipline a licensee upon proof satisfactory to a majority of the board that the person:\n(a) has obtained or attempted to obtain a license by fraud or deception;\n(b) has been convicted of a felony under state or federal law, or committed any other offense involving moral turpitude;\n(c) has been adjudged mentally ill or incompetent by a court of competent jurisdiction;\n(d) has used drugs or intoxicating liquors to the extent which adversely affects his practice;\n(e) has engaged in unethical or unprofessional conduct including, but not limited to, willful acts, negligence or incompetence in the course of professional practice;\n(f) has violated any lawful order, rule or regulation rendered or adopted by the board; or\n(g) has been refused issuance or been disciplined in connection with a license issued by any other state or country.","path":["Part I","Title XVI","Chapter 112"],"source_url":"https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXVI/Chapter112/Section215","current_through":"amendments passed before May 31, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T05:22:52Z","sha256":"e4f4007eb51cf03b4fb917df59f301213f456fcbf022f556aa224300207d3eee","source_id":"us-ma","stale":false,"prev":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-112-214","next":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-112-215a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
