As used in sections thirty-two B to thirty-two F, inclusive, the following words shall have the following meanings unless the content otherwise requires:\n''Landlord'', the owner or managing agent of a public housing development or a subsidized housing development.\n''Public housing development'', such developments for housing owned and operated by a housing authority pursuant to this chapter.\n''Subsidized housing development'', such multi-family developments for housing as: (a) receive the benefit of subsidy in the form of project-based assistance under the section 8 housing assistance program for the disposition of projects owned by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; or (b) are owned or held by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as mortgagee-in-possession.\n''Tenant household'', an individual, family unit, or other group living in a public housing development or a subsidized housing development, as reported to the landlord of the development at initial occupancy or thereafter.","path":["Part I","Title XVII","Chapter 121B"],"source_url":"https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXVII/Chapter121B/Section32B","current_through":"amendments passed before May 31, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T05:23:01Z","sha256":"584b9d947853122457c794db72816a589ec0914bea6d0406970c5763f8061417","source_id":"us-ma","stale":false,"prev":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-121b-32a","next":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-121b-32c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
