Whoever violates any provision of sections fifty-seven to sixty-eight, inclusive, or any rule or regulation made by the registrar under section sixty, unless a penalty other than the revocation of a license is prescribed therefor elsewhere in said sections, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.
