Others treated as qualified beneficiaries\n(a) Whenever notice to qualified beneficiaries of a trust is required under this chapter, the trustee shall also give notice to any other beneficiary who has sent the trustee a request for notice.\n(b) A charitable organization expressly designated to receive distributions under the terms of a charitable trust shall have the rights of a qualified beneficiary under this chapter if, on the date the charitable organization's qualification is being determined, the charitable organization:\n(1) is a distributee or permissible distributee of trust income or principal; or\n(2) would be a distributee or permissible distributee of trust income or principal if the trust terminated on that date.\n(c) A person appointed to enforce a trust created for the care of an animal or another non-charitable purpose, as provided in sections 408 and 409, shall have the rights of a qualified beneficiary under this chapter.","path":["Part II","Title II","Chapter 203E"],"source_url":"https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartII/TitleII/Chapter203E/Section110","current_through":"amendments passed before May 31, 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T05:24:35Z","sha256":"115e7db3a81e7083e1ec74d2dcf39072f1769a94adaeac52f570404dd3db053c","source_id":"us-ma","stale":false,"prev":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-203e-109","next":"us-ma/mass.-gen.-laws-ch.-203e-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
