Code, Agriculture § 1–1A–03","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary may:\n(1) Establish qualifications for a person requesting agricultural mediation services from the Department;\n(2) Establish qualifications for an individual applying to serve as a mediator in the State agricultural mediation program;\n(3) Contract with any qualified individual to provide mediation services for qualified mediation applicants; and\n(4) Receive grants for purposes of defraying the costs of the State agricultural mediation program.\n(b) The Secretary may adopt regulations to:\n(1) Meet the requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture for establishing a federally certified State agricultural mediation program; and\n(2) Implement the provisions of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Agriculture"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gag\u0026section=1-1A-03","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:55:53Z","sha256":"9b439376e4e32f4145f441aa1addc36b45966e8489ea2129c63393dc4fc9b118","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-1-1a-02","next":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-1-1a-04"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
