Code, Agriculture § 13–201","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Fair market value” means the value established by a contract or by the Department for a loss of grain at the time of the loss.\n(c) “Grain” means:\n(1) Corn;\n(2) Wheat;\n(3) Rye;\n(4) Oats;\n(5) Barley;\n(6) Sorghum;\n(7) Soybeans; and\n(8) Sunflowers.\n(d) (1) “Grain dealer” means a person who is in the business of buying, receiving, exchanging, or storing grain from a person who grows grain.\n(2) “Grain dealer” does not mean a farmer who buys, receives, exchanges, or stores grain for use in the farming business of that farmer.","path":["Article - Agriculture"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gag\u0026section=13-201","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:55:53Z","sha256":"1f39537059ce697ffd2eeb586f826cddbea069c485521024a47bfd36867c9791","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-12-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-13-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
