Code, Agriculture § 3–801","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Live poultry market” means any facility or location where poultry:\n(1) Is offered for sale, sold, distributed, or transferred; or\n(2) Is slaughtered and sold on–site.\n(c) “Poultry” means any living domesticated bird.\n(d) “Poultry dealer” means a person who engages in the business of buying, selling, exchanging, or transporting poultry between a production facility and a live poultry market.\n(e) “Production facility” means the facility or farm that is the origin of poultry offered for sale at a live poultry market.","path":["Article - Agriculture"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gag\u0026section=3-801","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:55:53Z","sha256":"b0b85aaf81653b19d1561d90451a135c94522f2a426c018eb6733caab7a68829","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-3-701","next":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-3-802"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
