Code, Agriculture § 5–2A–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Certified applicator” has the meaning stated in § 5–201 of this title.\n(c) “Neonicotinoid pesticide” means any pesticide containing a chemical belonging to the neonicotinoid class of chemicals, including:\n(1) Imidacloprid;\n(2) Nithiazine;\n(3) Acetamiprid;\n(4) Clothianidin;\n(5) Dinotefuran;\n(6) Thiacloprid;\n(7) Thiamethoxam; and\n(8) Any other chemical designated by the Department as belonging to the neonicotinoid class of chemicals.\n(d) “Restricted use pesticide” has the meaning stated in § 5–201 of this title.","path":["Article - Agriculture"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gag\u0026section=5-2A-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:55:53Z","sha256":"ba3ad8191f4d94f658de1bd5164cee6a684ecd31de7aa3f65a7cf4bb7e702c7a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-5-211","next":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-5-2a-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
