Code, Agriculture § 8–8A–07","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, a permit shall expire on the date the Department sets at the time the permit is issued or renewed.\n(2) The term of a permit may not last for more than 1 year.\n(b) (1) The Department may renew a permit if the permit holder:\n(i) Is in compliance with:\n1. The conditions of the permit;\n2. The requirements of this subtitle;\n3. All applicable regulations established by the Department; and\n4. An applicable discharge permit under § 9–301 of the Environment Article;\n(ii) Submits to the Department in a timely manner a renewal application on the form that the Department requires; and\n(iii) Pays a renewal application fee.\n(2) The Department may refuse to renew a permit if:\n(i) The permit holder violates this subtitle, any regulation adopted by the Department under this subtitle, or any condition of the permit;\n(ii) The Department determines that continued operation of any area covered by the permit would be injurious to the environment or public health, safety, or welfare; or\n(iii) The Department determines that there is any other good cause.","path":["Article - Agriculture"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gag\u0026section=8-8A-07","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:55:53Z","sha256":"76e71ae69bd85707370d5961a4c9f6e3d9e9d86bc42066ddc6fca82742f19118","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-8-8a-06","next":"us-md/md.-code-agriculture-8-8a-08"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
