Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 11–1002","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a barbershop and beauty salon beer and wine license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license to a holder of:\n(1) a barbershop permit issued under § 4–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) a beauty salon permit issued under § 5–501 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to provide not more than 12 ounces of beer or 5 ounces of wine by the glass for on–premises consumption by a barbershop or beauty salon customer:\n(1) when the customer is being provided:\n(i) a barbering service under Title 4 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(ii) a cosmetology service under Title 5 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article; or\n(2) while the customer is attending a fund–raising event at the barbershop or beauty salon.\n(d) A license holder may serve beer and wine for on–premises consumption during normal business hours but not later than 9 p.m.\n(e) A license holder need not obtain a Sunday license under § 11–2004 of this title to provide beer and wine on Sunday.\n(f) The annual license fee is $100.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=11-1002","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"8b74a93708a5f4e6de5aeef59dc28533910c77dce127574836a978471b59ab2b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-11-1001","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-11-1002.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
