Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 12–1001.1","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a continuing care retirement community license.\n(b) The Board may issue the license for use by a continuing care retirement community that:\n(1) is located in the 41st alcoholic beverages district; and\n(2) has obtained a certificate of registration from the Department of Aging under Title 10, Subtitle 4 of the Human Services Article.\n(c) The license authorizes the license holder to sell beer, wine, and liquor for on–premises consumption to a resident or the guest of a resident of the continuing care retirement community.\n(d) A resident or the guest of a resident of the continuing care retirement community may consume beer, wine, or liquor not purchased from the continuing care retirement community if:\n(1) the beer, wine, or liquor is consumed with a meal in the dining room or at a bar operated by the continuing care retirement community; and\n(2) the continuing care retirement community:\n(i) is operated by a nonprofit organization for individuals at least 60 years old;\n(ii) has been incorporated for at least 1 year; and\n(iii) prepares and serves meals during regular operating hours to residents and their guests.\n(e) (1) The annual license fee is $550.\n(2) In addition to the annual license fee, the license holder shall pay annually:\n(i) $500, if the license holder provides live entertainment; and\n(ii) $200, if the license holder provides outdoor table service.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=12-1001.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"9710bf6b1270065f6087413fede6dda1e335f46a9ac465f5c5f7053ae6bdb124","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-12-1001","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-12-1001.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
